I Am: The Movie is a bold and thought provoking animated drama inspired by the book I’m a Gun. Told through the unexpected voice of a gun, the film explores the psychological and physiological impact of violence, trauma, and miseducation on young lives.
When tragedy strikes and Danger is killed, Blacka’s world begins to unravel. Consumed by grief and driven by revenge, he is pulled deeper into a cycle of drugs, violence, and destruction. As his connection to the streets tightens its grip, the question remains, can love break the cycle? Is Mya’s love strong enough to reach a young man shaped by trauma and hardened by loss?
Blending powerful storytelling with striking animation, I Am: The Movie challenges audiences to confront the roots of violence and reflect on the choices that shape destiny. When a gun decides to tell its story, it is time to listen.
